About American Poker 2

American Poker 2 is a classic video poker game that became hugely popular in arcades and casinos throughout Europe in the 1990s. Originally developed by Novomatic, this game combines the strategy of poker with the excitement of slot machine-style gaming.

How to Play

1. Place your bet: Click the Bet button to adjust your wager (5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 credits).
2. Deal: Click Deal to receive your initial 5-card hand.
3. Hold cards: Click on any cards you want to keep. Selected cards will show "HOLD".
4. Draw: Click Draw to replace non-held cards with new ones from the deck.
5. Win: If your final hand matches a winning combination, you win!

Winning Hands

• Royal Flush: A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit (250x)
• Straight Flush: Five consecutive cards of the same suit (50x)
• Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank (25x)
• Full House: Three of a kind plus a pair (9x)
• Flush: Five cards of the same suit (6x)
• Straight: Five consecutive cards (4x)
• Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same rank (3x)
• Two Pair: Two different pairs (2x)
• Jacks or Better: A pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces (1x)

Strategy Tips

• Always hold high pairs: Jacks or better should always be held.
• Keep potential flushes/straights: If you have 4 cards to a flush or straight, hold them.
• Break up low pairs: If you have a low pair but 4 to a flush, go for the flush.
• Never hold a kicker: Don't keep a high card alongside a pair hoping for two pair.
